The ComSci Masterclass is an interactive session designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and professional practice in communication and PR. Led by alumna Kiki Hirschfeldt (Coebergh PR), the masterclass will offer you hands-on insights into the daily reality of the field, including how to approach real-world cases. You will also learn about effective communication, and how to position yourself in the job market.

Rather than focusing on general career advice, this session emphasizes practical tips: understanding what communication work actually looks like, which skills are valued in the industry, and how to translate academic knowledge into professional impact. You will work in small groups on a case or scenario, allowing for an engaging, applied learning experience.

This masterclass serves as a complementary addition to existing career support from the UvA Student Careers Centre, offering a concrete and practice-oriented perspective from within the field.
