Function title: Liaison Officer International Student Affairs
When deciding on a study abroad experience and destination, there are many things to consider. During the Study Abroad Fair, the Office of International Student Affairs offers three sessions that tackle the top 3 main concerns that students have when it comes to studying abroad. In this session: finding your community and making friends in order to combat social isolation during your study abroad experience.
Studying abroad is an exciting adventure, but it can also be a challenge to meet people in a new and different culture. In this workshop, we will talk about the types of social obstacles that can occur during your experience and how to deal with those. In addition, there will be time for questions and conversations with other students.
