About Lisanne Buik

Lisanne Buik advises businesses and governments on ethically navigating and implementing AI developments in a rapidly changing world. In her keynotes, she inspires hope around the ethics of AI and invites audiences to explore visionary futures where humanity, nature, and technology strategically collaborate.

Lisanne’s influence extends to collaborations with leading organizations such as the Dutch Government, Philips, and the Metropolitan Region Amsterdam. She has shared her insights on stages such as the Dutch Design Week, Tedx, Van Gogh Museum, and The Next Web, and teaches AI ethics at universities such as Erasmus University and the University of Lucerne (CH).

In addition to speaking and consultancy, Lisanne collaborates closely with other creative thinkers and makers to make abstract future scenarios tangible and applicable, showing the consequences of the ethical considerations we make today. She has an active AI community on social media, as well as through her newsletter and podcast, Gracious AI Radio. Lisanne is currently pursuing PhD research at Sapienza Università di Roma, focusing on the ethics of AI in nature-inclusive design of materials and systems.

In the dance between nature and technology, ethics and innovation, let grace be our guide, and foresight our pathway to a gracious future.

Driven by her own experiences as a twenty-something tech entrepreneur (she sold her first startup VanChefs at the age of 26, ten years ago), she aims to promote diversity, sustainability, and ethics within the tech world through her current activities.
