For our next CS on the Spot, on Wednesday the 11th of October 2023, we are speaking to Marijne Beijen, an UvA Political Communication graduate. Marijne is a journalist and podcast producer for Het Parool.
Het Parool is an Amsterdam-based daily newspaper. It was first published on 10 February 1941 as a resistance paper during the German occupation of the Netherlands (1940–1945).
Marijne is also a freelance journalist and was also chief editor at Red Pers. Red Pers is an accessible and inclusive training platform for young, aspiring journalists. The platform helps young people to develop skills and publish productions that can prepare them for a journalistic career. Their goal is to achieve more diversity and professional knowledge in media companies.
