Function title: Liaison Officer Short-term Learning Opportunities
Are you finding that your study programme does not lend itself to a semester abroad? Or do you have a lack of resources or important responsibilities that keep you from going abroad?
This session covers the following:
1. Overview: in this session, we introduce the UvA's wide and diverse offer of Short-term Learning Opportunities. We're talking: summer schools, blended learning programmes, development programmes, interactive virtual team-work, conferences, and everything in between-- the UvA has it!
2. Student testimonials: student alumni will tell you about their transformative experiences and give you a better pictures about the programmes they attended. Here, you get the opportunities to ask questions or share your study abroad concerns.
3. Accessibility and finances: many of these programmes are especially suitable for students who are otherwise challenged in their ability to travel or study abroad, such as students with specialized learning needs, disabilities, care responsibilities, financial need, and more. Hence, we will talk about scholarships and other ways in which the programmes may offer the solution to whatever may be preventing you from considering a study abroad experience.
