In this session we will look back the banking industry in the last 10 – 20 years and see how banking has evolved over the past period. Then we will look at the current challenges banks face in the current economical climate and lastly we will try to predict the future for the banking industry, with no guarantees of course on this prediction as the Banking Industry remains very dynamic and volatile.

Mischa Wesdorp
Mischa is one of the founders of FiSer Consulting and brings over 20 years’ experience in the Global Financial Services Industry where he has been employed mostly by large international Dutch based banks, as well as Dutch based insurance companies. In his career, Mischa acquired an all-round understanding of Risk, Lending and Payments. Mischa is very delivery focused. He is able to manage large complex international programs where he can combine his delivery experience with the in-depth knowledge of financial institutions products, processes and organisations. In the role of implementation manager, Mischa has led and successfully implemented with multi-discipline, multicultural and multi-locations teams. His project experience includes the implementation of Basel II within a wholesale environment, the global roll out of an integrated platform for Operational Risk, Integration of a Markets Risk organisation, Legal Merger of one financial institution into another, implementation of SEPA across an EMEA network, Solvency II program within Dutch Insurance Company and Implementation of PSD2 within EMEA for large Wholesale and Retail Bank.
Martijn van der Zwan
Martijn is a an experienced Project Manager (PM), with extensive experience in Process & Change Management, Asset Management, Financial Markets, Business Management and Payments & Trade Traffic. Martijn is a seasoned PM with over 20 years of experience working at ABN AMRO, designing, implementing and migrating operational change to new organizational structures. As a service and quality oriented individual, he makes sure that assignments and operations are finished accordingly and in a timely manner. Furthermore, Martijn has also gained experience in the domain of global client services and its operations. He is service and quality minded, business oriented and Martijn has the ability to work with people on different management levels.
