In the last hour of the FMG Career Event, there'll be a panel discussion about career paths and career perspectives with:

Jesper van Thor MSc. Former recruiter and now researcher at Statistics Netherlands (CBS), with all up to date figures on the employment situation of academics, occupations and job satisfaction rates. 

Dr. Eva van Reijmersdal. Associate professor at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR) and ASPASIA Grant holder. Since obtaining her PhD in 2007, she's been working as a researcher, investigating the effects of mixtures of advertising and editorial content (e.g. brand placement, advertorials, etc.) on audiences.  

Dr. Linda Duits. After obtaining a PhD at ASCoR in 2008, Linda worked as an assistant professor in qualitative research methods at the University of Amsterdam. The last ten years she's been active as a self-employed publicist, teacher, independent researcher and speaker. 

Dr. Inge van der Weijden. The key note speaker of today's event, researcher and coordinator of the Career Policy & Paths in Science (CPPS) working group at Leiden University, joins in with her expertise; the transferrable skills of academics. 

Dr. Remmert Daas. After obtaining a PhD on assessment of social outcomes of education in 2017, Remmert is now working as a postdoc at Educational Sciences. In this capacity, he's conducting and preparing new studies into citizenship education following his dissertation on assessment of students' citizenship competences.
